Linux Tech Networks was established in 2002 by Tom Whiting, who remains at the helm, managing daily operations to this day.

Tom’s journey with computers began early in life when he received his first computer, a Timex Sinclair TS-1000. This sparked a fascination with coding in BASIC, storing his programs on cassette tapes.

In the 1990s, Tom became deeply involved with Linux, contributing to MUD/BBS development using C, PHP, and MySQL. This passion for development led to an increasing need for reliable online hosting, which ultimately fueled his interest in the hosting industry.

By 2002, Tom took this passion to a professional level by founding Linux Tech Networks, collaborating with hosting companies to provide top-notch solutions.

In 2006, Tom expanded his expertise to WHMCS, creating innovative addons and offering support to customers with their installations through WHMCS Guru.
